Mount Everest Attempt

March 2010

Nabil set out on an ambitious journey to climb Mount Everest as part of the Omani “Falcon Oilfield Services Everest Expedition.” This wasn’t just any climb for him—he carried the Omani flag with hopes of planting it at the summit as a symbol of pride.

The climb was tough, pushing his body and mind to the limit as he moved higher into the thin, freezing air. After days of challenging progress, Nabil and his team reached 6,200 meters. But then, things took a turn for the worse. He stepped on a patch of thin ice that gave way beneath him, causing a fall that seriously injured both of his ankles.

With his injuries making it impossible to continue, Nabil had to be evacuated and was forced to abandon his mission. Although he couldn’t reach the top this time, his effort and determination are a reminder of the challenges that come with taking on one of the most difficult climbs in the world.
